The second factor is that some of the key reagents needed to make these plates have become unavailable because of a combination of export restrictions from China and the closure of a key mine in India that produces them. Jet USA is currently in the process of working with another producer who can make these plates for them. One of the factors has been the closure of the Kodak facility in Osaka that previously produced all of the water soluble LSL-type plates. There have been a combination of factors causing this.
